I Love Your Pets!
This week I share something many of you have been asking about for a good part of 2021 and 2022. Plus there's that topic about income everyone wants to know about.
This week I have some interesting things to share. The first one is about that question everyone asked me about prep for art markets and if they actually pay back the investment. I made a full video talking about that focused on my experience.
Also, I decided to open my commissions once more for a limited time and with a limited amount of spots. Next time I’ll be sharing all about a weird game I’m playing called Cult of the Lamb. Can’t wait to tell you more about it!

The Art Market Experience
Can creators & illustrators make a living out of the markets?
In this one, I invite you all to Illustrada Art Market I took part in early June. If you saw my previous video about market preparations, you'll enjoy this one!
I will share with you what I liked the most and disliked about the Art Market, some mistakes I made, and how it all went! At the end I share my thoughts on how good of a source of income those are, and if I will attend more of them and why.
I hope it will be an inspiration for you to visit your local art fairs, or maybe even participate in them, in case you were considering that! I really recommend the experience:)
I know many of you wanted to visit me at the Illustrada, so for all of you, I'm leaving below my online store ( free worldwide tracked shipping!) to grab some goodies and the Floral Tiger Tote that had its premiere at the Art Market. I've been using the tote for everything and every single day and I'm totally in love with it.
The market experience was lovely, especially having the opportunity to chat and meet fellow artists. I’ll share on Insta the things I got for myself, to show how talented my Art Market stand neighbors are!
I also wanted to briefly mention a lovely initiative I discovered at Illustrada, which is called Green Bag Lady. The group of volunteers get together to make sure to give a second life to fabric and materials that were donated to them and lost their original purpose.
During the Art Market the volunteers were selling at their stand everyday use objects made out of the big size canvases our illustrations were printed on for the first edition of Illustrada art festival. There were bags, aprons, pouches, pencil cases, all of which were made reusing the fabric. Every item was sold for a donation so that the items created are accessible to everyone, independently of their economic level.
I got a pouch and two bags, all of them created out of the illustration I created for the very first edition of Our Planet Week, which is a very symbolic thing!
Pet Portraits Open
Comissions are now open for the first time in a year
Want to have a unique portrait of your pet? I’d love to create one for you!
From time to time, I open a limited number of spots for pet portraits to draw your furry companion, something that I highly enjoy doing! To keep an organized schedule and make sure I have the time needed to complete the portraits, I'm bringing back to my store just a few slots for custom commissions.
Since I started offering pet portraits in my store, I got to know so many of your dogs and cats, and it's been so much fun to capture their looks and personality! Learning more about them, what they like doing, their quirks and funny things about them, makes me even more convinced that animals are a big part of our lives and are just irreplaceable.
So if you've been looking for a gift for a pet owner or want to honor your furry friend, head to my website! The pet portraits are now available and will be up for grabs for a limited period of time. The artwork includes your pet’s portrait together with a decorative background.
